John Murphy’s Performance Stats
In an effort to be transparent with my clients and consumers who contact me about my services, I thought it would be helpful to publish my statistics. (I am not one to embellish statements nor do I like to promote my performance necessarily, but given the marketplace, consumers have a right to know this information). These data points are all verifiable on the MLS. Will other agents you may be considering show you their stats? The one area, believe it or not, that is difficult to quantify is the number of real estate agents in the Twin Cities. After communicating with the Minneapolis Board of Realtors, a good guess is that there are about 10,000 Realtors in the Twin Cities area.
I work hard to help my selling clients capture the best price and terms that they can get with the least amount of hassles. And for my buyers, I try to help them find a great home that accommodates their needs for a great price…and of course we try to have some fun during the process. For both buyers and sellers I work diligently on my communications, follow up, marketing, contract negotiations and overall sales process to assure a smooth transaction to a successful conclusion that they are happy with.
Buying and Selling a house is a complicated, emotional, and expensive transaction. You have to be comfortable with the agent you work with. But buying and selling a home is also transactional. There are data points you can use as a consumer to evaluate who might do well for your interests. Below are the statistical data for my performance in 2010.
- My sellers sell their homes 45 days faster than the market – faster sale means more money in your pocket. It’s also one and a half months fewer mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, utilities and upkeep.
- My sellers earn 2.1% more on average – that works out to be $7,200 more in their pocket when they sell.
- My average sales price is 50% higher than the Board of Realtors – I work in a higher priced market with both buyers and sellers.
- I was involved in 3x as many transactions last year compared to the average Realtor.
- I closed 4x as much sales dollar volume compared to the average Realtor.
- Named Super Real Estate Agent 2010 (and 2008).
- Skilled real estate contract negotiator with expertise and knowledge of the necessary language, terms, and contingencies to benefit both my buyer and seller clients
- Certified Distressed Property Expert – helping homeowners avoid foreclosure by pursuing short sales.
- Licensed broker functioning as an associate broker with RE/MAX Results – I’ve gone through much more training and education than the average Realtor.
- Real estate investor with excellent knowledge and experience on investing and repair costs.
- Systems designed to expose your home (sellers) to the greatest number of potential buyers and agents.
- Systems that solicit and capture valuable feedback from agents and buyers which is shared with you.
- Publish two blogs: John Murphy Reports and Short Sale Minnesota.
- Launched a YouTube Channel called John Murphy Homes You Tube Channel designed to help educate buyers and sellers and provide greater insight, knowledge and transparency to real estate transactions.
